The Gilded Strongbox — your personal bank 🏦
v0.23 finally gives you somewhere to stash your loot: a personal bank vault at the bursar in every hub town. It starts at 24 slots and expands up to 96 (or 112 with bonuses), with filters, search and a one-click "deposit all materials."
🏦 The basics: find the bursar in Eastbrook, Fenbridge or Highwatch, stand close, and click items between your bags and the vault. It holds goods only — never coin — and quest items can't be banked.
Where it is & how to open it
There's a branch in every hub town — Eastbrook, Fenbridge and Highwatch. Talk to the bursar to open your vault, and stay within interaction range: step away and the bank auto-closes after a short grace period. Your goods aren't branch-locked — deposit in Eastbrook, withdraw the same items in Highwatch.

Buying slots. Each expansion adds 6 slots for a rising copper price — 500, then 1,000, 2,500, 5,000, 10,000, 20,000, 40,000, 80,000, 150,000, 300,000, 600,000, and 1,200,000 copper for the twelfth. After twelve, "your bank cannot be expanded further." Every purchase asks you to confirm first.
Bonus slots (online, up to +16) come from linking accounts — a verified email, Discord, or a wallet grant +2 each, and referrals grant +2 per friend who reaches level 10 (up to +10). A read-only footer under the grid shows what you've earned and what's still available. Offline, the bonus section is hidden.
Using the vault
- Deposit: click an item in your bags to move it in. (Quest items are refused — they stay on your character.)
- Withdraw: click an item in the vault to send it back to your bags — a plain click takes the whole stack, Shift-click opens a quantity prompt for part of one. If your bags are full, it tells you.
- Deposit all materials: one button sweeps every material stack that fits from your bags into the vault, with a quick "X stacks deposited" summary. It disables itself when the bank is full or you're carrying nothing depositable.
Finding things. Filter the vault by category — All / Weapons / Armor / Consumables / Materials / Quest — sort by Recent / Quality / Name, and use the live search box to type an item name. Your filter, sort and search choices are remembered between sessions.
💡 The vault is for goods only — your coin always lives in your purse, never the bank.
